It is a small, friendly independent registered charity offering daily loans of quality mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs and other walking aids. The team prides itself on delivering a service which allows independence and enhanced living for anyone with limited mobility, whether it be temporary or permanent.
All customers visiting Unity Mobility can access mobility equipment for daily or long-term use – all at very reasonable prices and available six days a week. The dedicated staff and volunteers rely on fundraising, grants, and donations to keep their vital service open to benefit the local community, tourists and visitors to events such as those held at Thruxton Race Circuit.
As part of its caring and dedicated service, the Unity Mobility team also works in close partnership with Unity Transport which offers a ‘Dial-a-ride’ service. This home collection service transports customers, inaccessible vehicles, to and from Andover ShopMobility providing seamless access to shops and amenities. Alternatively, if individuals struggle to travel, for a small fee, Unity Mobility can deliver scooters and wheelchairs to people at home.
Customers of Unity Mobility have said:
“When I have used the service to hire a Mobility Scooter, the staff have been kind and friendly, nothing seems like an issue. Any questions I have had were answered, prices are amazing, and I wouldn’t personally use any other company.”
“After a bad accident in the past, I was reluctant to go on the mobility scooter, but across the two weeks I regained my confidence again and managed to enjoy the holiday without the worry of walking too far.”
